Much like Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda recognises the five elements of Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, understanding that true wellbeing flows from living in harmony with ourselves and nature.

Shirodhara is part of Panchakarma, a gentle yet profound detoxification practice designed to release ‘ama’ (accumulated toxins) from your unique constitution (dosha), helping to restore your natural balance and inner vitality.

This traditional Ayurvedic therapy gently guides you into a profound state of relaxation through the rhythmic flow of warm oil over the Marma points on your forehead. As the oil streams continuously, it soothes your mind whilst deeply nourishing your hair and scalp. This creates a blissfully restorative experience.

Shirodhara offers gentle support for sleep disturbances by harmonising the pituitary and pineal glands, whilst calming the central nervous system to quiet a busy mind. Your Shirodhara experience includes your choice of either a short Ayurvedic Face Lift Massage, Head Massage, or Reiki session, making this treatment wonderfully suitable for both men and women.

Aftercare:

To honour the Ayurvedic principle of maintaining warmth and balance, please bring a hairband, cap, or hat to wear after your treatment. This helps preserve your body’s natural equilibrium and supports lasting wellbeing.

We recommend waiting 2–3 hours before washing your hair, allowing the nourishing oils to work their magic.

Treatment Fee:

For those seeking a deeper experience, add 20 minutes of Reiki, Crystal Healing, or Himalayan Singing Bowls Sound Therapy for £20.

Please know that I value both your time & mine.  When we book your appointment, that time is set aside to focus on your well-being with additional time for me to prepare.

This allows me to be fully ready & to utilise our time in the best way possible. I understand that emergencies happen & cancellation may be required.  If you do need to cancel or reschedule please contact me as soon as possible.

Cancellations within 48-24 hrs will be charged 50% of treatment price. Cancellations within 24 hrs & ‘no shows’ will be charged the full treatment price.
