Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient system of Ayurveda which means the Science of Life and has been practiced in India for over 2,000 years.The treatment can be carried out with carrier oils such as Sesame & Sweet Almond. The carrier oils help to moisturise the hair and scalp and are entirely optional. As a fully qualified Aromatherapist, an Essential oil can also be added to the carrier oil to maximise benefits for no additional cost and subject to consultation.
The Essential Oil also has hugely calming effect, pacifying the mind and is wonderful when experienced on the scalp.
Indian Head Massage improves the blood circulation to the head, neck and shoulders. As the blood flow increases, more nutrients and oxygen circulate into the area relaxing the tissues & relaxing the eyes. Skin condition is improved and hair follicles are stimulated promoting hair growth.
The treatment also increases the lymphatic flow removing waste and toxins. Indian Head Massage helps to release stagnant energy in the hair that is collected with the stresses of daily life. The treatment is carried out directly on the skin rather than through a t-shirt and includes Massage of the Upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and temples. If you are experience discomfort of the TMJ (Jaw) please mention during the consultation and a short massage can be included for you as well for no additional fee.
Women are recommended to wear a vest top and a towel will be draped over you to protect your clothing.

Please know that I value both your time & mine. When we book your appointment, that time is set aside to focus on your well-being with additional time for me to prepare. This allows me to be fully ready & to utilise our time in the best way possible. I understand that emergencies happen & cancellation may be required. If you do need to cancel or reschedule please contact me as soon as possible.
Cancellations within 48-24 hrs will be charged 50% of treatment price. Cancellations within 24 hrs & ‘no shows’ will be charged the full treatment price.
