Qualified through both the Massage Training Institute (MTI) & the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), Holistic and Deep Tissue Massages are available incorporating where needed Myofascial Release, Cranio Sacral and Soft Tissue Release techniques.
Holistic Massage is highly relaxing and based on Swedish Massage techniques. The massage strokes tend to be longer and more fluid, whilst shorter, smaller strokes are used to warm up the muscles and reduce any tension or ‘knots’ in the muscles and connective tissues. The massages are relaxing & with the additional focus applied to the knots, this helps to disperse any tightness in the area and encourage more localised blood flow into the muscle.
Where required by the client, Deep Tissue Massage is also available, which is a firmer form of massage for those who like more pressure. Deep Tissue Massage is also a deeper form of massage and is great at working into knots and areas of tension in the muscles.
Myofascial Release can be incorporated at the start of the treatment before oil is applied due to the grip/precision that is is needed. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and holds the organs, bone, nerve fibres and muscles in place. It is restrictions in the fascia itself that will be released as and where needed to reduce cronic pain.
All massages are professional and tailored to the clients needs. The treatment objectives and priorities are discussed during the consultation and for returning clients, in advance of each treatment. Holistic and Deep Tissue Massages are then carried out and if a massage was required focusing mainly on the shoulders and neck, then more time would be spent on these areas. This is what makes the treatment Holistic in nature.
